NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS - 2023

The National Science Day- 2023 with the theme of the day "e global science for global well being" was
celebrated by the Department of Physics and Electronics, P.R. Government College (Autonomous) on
28.2.2023. The chief guest invited , Dr.D.L.Sastry honoured sir CV Raman statue in the department and
inaugurated the science exhibition by lighting the lamp. Regarding this remarkable day, the Department
organized ‘open campus day’ for school and junior college students. Nearly 62 students from outside
institutions visited the labs. The department conducted various competitions to the students viz. essay writing,
drawing on theme of the day. An offline quiz was conducted to 30 students from first year UG at 11am on
27th February in LCD1. Simultaneously an online quiz was conducted to 61 students from second years.
Around 30 projects were performed by both UG and M.Sc. Physics students. The incharge of the Department,
Sri UVBB Krishna Prasad and the faculty extend their support in bringing out the hidden talents and
innovative thinking of the students in making of their projects .
