WORLD CHESS DAY CELEBRATIONS -20.07.2022

The Departments of Physics & Electronics, P.R.G.C.(A) Kaknada, in the observation of
world chess day on 20.7.2022 conducted a college wise chess competition at 11.am. In charge
Principal, Dr. V. Narasimha Swamy, Academic Coordinator, Dr.D. ChennaRao, inaugurated the
event and encouraged the participants. Nearly 81 students were registered for their
participation in the event. By following lottery system, selection of pairing of students and
allotment of boards were framed. The elimination process was done by using, time limit mobile
application. 12 rounds were conducted and filtered 4 students to final selection list.

The final year students, K.Krishna (III MCPC) , Y.Ch.S. Sai Prasanth(III MCCS), S.Vara
Prasad(III MPC-TM) who are the winners of inter collegiate chess competitions-2022, organized
by the affiliated Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram and the participants of south
zone competitions-2022, Chennai, were acted as arbiters to make the event in a regulated and
principled manner. At the end, J. Santhosh Kumar(II MCCS) stood as winner, and R.K.Ramayya(I
MPC –EM) as runner of the competition.
