ONE DAY STATE LEVEL STUDENT COLLOQUIUM

The Departments of Physical & Chemical, Biological and Social Sciences/Languages
and IQAC of Pithapur Rajah’s Government College (Autonomous), Kakinada in Collaboration
with Association of Chemistry Teachers (ACT), Mumbai organized a One Day State Level
Student Colloquium as multidisciplinary event on the topic, "The Noble Contributions of
Nobel Laureates to the Mankind 2021" on 11th November, 2021.The inaugural session started
at 10.30 am with the lighting of the lamp, followed by prayer. Observing the National
Education Day, the dignitaries honored Dr. Moulana Azad, first Education Minister of
IndependentIndia.
                              For the inaugural session, the Chief Guest Prof. A.Matta Reddy, Prof., University
College of Science and Technology, Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram,
President of the event, Dr. B.V.Tirupanyam, Principal Pithapur Rajah’s Government College
(Autonomous), Kakinada guest of honor of the Colloquium, Dr.P.V.S.Machi Raju , Prof. of
Chemistry , Dr.Y.V.V..Appa Rao Prof. of Physics&Electronics, Additional Principal, Pithapur
Rajah’s Government College (Autonomous), Kakinada, the Convenors, Co-Convenors and the
organizing secretary of the event occupied their chairs on the dais. The programme was
presided over by Dr. B.V.Tirupanyam, Principal Pithapur Rajah’s Government College
(Autonomous), Kakinada, the key note address was delivered by the Chief Guest, Prof. A.Matta
Reddy, Prof., University College of Science and Technology. After that the messages were
given by the Convenors, Dr.D.Rama Rao; HoD, Dept. of Chemistry, Dr.D.Chenna Rao,
Academic Coordinator, Sri. U.V.B.B. Krishna Prasad ,HoD; Dept. of Physics and the
Organizing Secretary Dr. P. Hariram Prasad, IQAC Coordinator.

                  The technical session was started after lunch break by 1.30pm. The participants of 16 teams
came from around the state, projected their power point presentations in a very good manner.
The Chief Guest, Prof. A.Matta Reddy, the guest of honor, Dr.P.V.S.Machi Raju , Prof. of
Chemistry , Dr.Y.V.V..Appa Rao Additional Principal, judged the participant’s performance
and gave remarks to all the teams. The technical session ended by 4.30pm. Cash prizes along
with certificates for Ist and 2nd in each section of Nobel laureates were distributed after
completion of the presentations. Certificates were distributed among all the participants by the
deligates. The closing remarks were delivered by Additional Principal, Dr.Y.V.V..Appa Rao
garu and vote of thanks was given by Dr.D.Rama Rao; HoD, Dept. of Chemistry. The program
was ended with our National Anthem by 6pm.
