The Department of Commerce under B.Voc (RM) arranged a Guest lecturer by P. Gopi Krishna, Group Head, IT, Meru Group, Banglore on “Enterprise Resource Planning”. Total 120 Students of B.Voc (RM), B.Com students attended and benefited by the programme.
BRIEF REPORT
B.Voc (Retail Management) course is a special vocational course by UGC, under NSDF. Total 35 students admitted for the academic year 2015-2018. They are getting well education from department of commerce. For quality enhancement and to equip them with actual industrial knowledge, a guest lecture was arranged by the department with Ex employee of Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd, and current group head, IT of Meru Group, Banglore Mr. Pampana Gopi Krishna. Basically he hailed from Kakinada, and alumni of this college. He held the session on specified date in Seminar hall – II. For this lecture we invited all Computers students also for their benefit. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) which is base for SAP course was explained in detailed. MRP – Material Requirment Planning, JIT – Just In Time concepts were also covered.
The program was initiated by opening remarks of our college principal Dr. C. Krishna. In the same program Chartered Accountant Aditya Sarma also participated. Under Digital India Program, the department of commerce started DigiLocker facility to all students and staff. This program was inaugurated by the dignetaries on the dais.
After November 8th, 2016 the entire India entered into the new era of digitalization, demonitization and the central government stood on the point to encourage people to shift from cash to cashless transactions. The benefits of this decision by the government focused to reduce the black money internal and external as well as to curtail the terrarist activities that were supported by fake currency.
The department of commerce extended their heartfull thanks to Principal Dr. Krishna Chappidi who had given this opportunity to conduct this programme for B.Voc Students. We are also thankful to CA Sri. Aditya Sarma, Mr. Pampana Gopi Krishna, Head, IT Meru Group for their contribution.
